SEASONAL TEMPORARY PARK MAINTENANCE Position #312 – Grade #2 Posting No: 08-006 Posting Dates: Open Date: 05-01-2008 Close Date: 05-31-2008 Brief Description of the Job: Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the lawns and trees of the parks and ball fields. Also performs other duties as assigned and assists with special functions. Education and Experience Requirements: Valid Texas Operator Driver's License. No previous experience required. Essential Functions: 1. Performs park maintenance by cutting grass, line trimming, edging, picking up trash, trimming trees and cleaning restrooms. 2. Prepares ball fields by dragging, leveling, lining, and cleaning restrooms. 3. Assist in the maintenance of playground equipment. ensuring Performs additional duties by assisting other divisions and City departments in moving files, records, furniture, holiday decorations, etc. FLSA: Non-exempt Hours: Seasonal, Summer only, 7am-3:30pm M-F Salary: $8 an hour NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must complete and submit a City of Decatur Employment Application between the job posting dates.
