Emergency Management

Housed within Decatur Fire Department is the Office of Emergency Management who is responsible for coordinating the emergency management plan for the City of Decatur. Fire Chief Nate Mara is the designated Emergency Management Coordinator.

One of the primary goals of the City of Decatur is to provide a safe secure city. To meet this goal, the Emergency Management Coordinator maintains our Emergency Management Plan; coordinates our trained first responders who are available at all times; conducts training and exercise drills; and manages our outdoor warning system.
